SHABRAN REGION

Territories located west of the center of Shabran region are distinguished by historical, cultural, and natural resources. In particular, the villages located on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains are famous for their rich natural resources. Pirabadil and Zeyva villages which are also covered by the Zeyva-Taghli tourism zone are tourist destinations distinguished by their resourses. 

NATURE OF SHABRAN

As the mountain villages located in this direction are surrounded by the Greater Caucasus Mountains, the weather of the territory is dry and mild compared to the center. Pirebadil and Zeyva villages are located on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus range and cover the mountainous and forested part of the Zeyva-Zaghli tourist zone.

As the villages are located in the foothills of the Greater Caucasus in the Zaghli-Zeyva tourist zone, forest and mountainous areas are very common here. There are natural resources in this mountainous area, such as lakes, rivers, healing sulphurous springs, and fresh water springs.
HISTORY OF SHABRAN
The villages located in this part of Shabran region date back to ancient times. Pirabadil village dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries, and ethnicity of the population is Azerbaijani. Legends say that the village was founded in those centuries by sheikhs from Arabia, and that sheikhs lived in the village until the beginning of the 20th century. Zeyva village dates back to the 6th-7th centuries, and its name means "corner" ("far from society"). 
CULTURE OF SHABRAN
Pirabadil carpet-weaving art. Pirabadil carpets belong to the Guba-Shirvan carpet school and play an important role in Azerbaijani carpet-weaving. You can see these carpets, called "Pirabadil Pattern", in the history museum. Very few people in the village are engaged in this historical activity. In rural areas, such activity can be found in 2 or 3 houses. Carpet-weaving master classes are held in the museum itself. According to unofficial information, one sample of Pirabadil carpets is preserved in the Victoria Museum in England.
